Tater Tots And Beef Casserole

When it comes to casserole I absolutely love it because its a one pot dish and it can be prepared in advance and baked later. Had some tater tots in the refrigerator for a while and what could be better than potato and meat. Just added couple of ingredients and some coleslaw salad....dinner is served.

Ingredients

1lb ground beef or turkey
1/4 cup cubed onions
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tsp dried oregano
salt and pepper
1/2 cup frozen green beans
1 1/2 cup or more tater tot/hash brown
1 cup shredded cheddar
1 can cream of mushroom
2/3 cup milk

Method

In a pan, brown the meat and discard the extra oil.  Push meat to the side and drizzle about 1 tbsp of olive oil and saute the onion and garlic. Add in the dried oregano and stir in the meat into the onion and garlic.
Pour the cream of mushroom soup and milk. Mix well and season to taste. Add in the green beans. Take it off the heat.
In a glass casserole dish, pour in the meat mixture, layer on top with tater tot and sprinkle cheese all over.
Bake at 400 degrees for about 25 minutes or until cheese melts and sauce is bubbling.

Serve with coleslaw salad and garlic bread...

Note:  We almost finished with dinner when I realised that I forgot to take a picture.
