White Cake with Fresh Fruits

White cake adapted from Cake bible.  Frosted with whipped cream and mascarpone.  Topped with fresh fruits.  Made this for my son's 19th birthday.


1/2 cup mascarpone cheese
4 oz cream cheese
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla


Place mascarpone, cream cheese, heavy cream, sugar and vanilla in a medium bowl and beat with an electric mixer until cream is thickened and smooth. Place mascarpone mixture in a piping bag with a star tip attached or a plastic bag and cut off one corner of the bag to pipe. I just frosted it with a spatula and added the fruits on top and stored in the refrigerator.
